Five Questions for Nicole Katsioulis
What combination of your expertise makes you special?
My expertise lies where sustainability and gender equality intersect. I show the added value that more equal working can have for organizations and know many examples from Europe, as I have lived in six European countries.
What does "systemic thinking" mean to you in sustainability transformation?
Systemic thinking means seeing the big picture for me - the planetary boundaries, the Anthropocene, the causes and effects of climate change, and also that humans are not the center but part of the environment.
What drives you in your work for sustainable transformation?
I am motivated to counter the many crises of this world with something positive. Through my many international assignments, I know - there are already so many positive solutions in Europe and the world. We just need to look closely and apply them.
What do you value about working in an interdisciplinary team?
Wherever multiple different perspectives flow into work or joint projects, the work gets better. The ThirtySix Degrees consulting team is unique because it unites so many disciplines and can therefore offer individual solutions for special business challenges.
What opportunity for socially just business do others not yet see?
I believe that some people cannot yet imagine how much it can relieve us humans when we come out of lethargy, tackle problems, take action, and finally see "We are overcoming the crises!".
