Five Questions for Hans-Jürgen Linzer
What combination of your expertise makes you special?
25 years of leadership and management experience in production with deep expertise in problem-solving and improvement culture. Long before ESG became a buzzword, I was responsible for production units - where hazardous materials were processed in complex ways - and learned to combine ecological, social, and economic requirements. Today I translate this sustainable mindset into clear structures and measurable efficiency improvements.
What does "systemic thinking" mean to you in sustainability transformation?
For me, it means recognizing and managing the interactions of changes. Not just treating symptoms, but identifying the roots of problems in the system and understanding the impact on the overall system. I have learned that efficiency (Lean), sustainability (Green), and customer satisfaction (Stakeholder satisfaction) must go hand in hand.
What drives you in your work for sustainable transformation?
What drives me is the sustainable impact - enabling companies and employees to become better. So that organizations not only solve problems but increase their overall problem-solving competence. It's about eliminating waste and creating value – for the owner, the employees, the customers AND our environment.
What makes teamwork different from traditional consulting structures?
For the client, it is crucial to get the best solution. Everyone in the team has different expertise and experience, and can contribute them appropriately depending on the task, industry, and needs. Whatever the project needs, a deep specialist or a creative lateral thinker, we bring exactly the right person to the team. This guarantees maximum expertise and flexibility without the overhead of rigid structures.
Where do you see the biggest levers for systemic change?
In chaos – in moments when the old system no longer works. For example, when a profound value change occurs through a generational transition. The change in inner attitude forces organizations to systemic transformation. They must adapt their values, leadership styles, and processes to remain future-proof and attract the best talent.
